Keep life simple and care about people

How little it takes to make a difference . How many children in this nation have no Mother or Father figure. My challenge with this article is to ask you to be that just to one child and make a difference. That is how simple change can be.

CAlled "MAKING A DIFFERENCE" by Elizabeth Silance Ballard

Many years ago, an elementary teacher, Mrs Thompson , stood in front of her Grade 5 class on their very first day of school, and told the children a lie.

She looked at her students and said that she… Continue

The Seed Parable

The Seed,

A successful business man was growing old and
knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business.

Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his
children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company
together.

He said, "It is time for me to step down
and choose the next CEO.
I have decided to choose one of you. "The young executives were Shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of you a SEED today - one v… Continue

Hi-tech vs Pen and Paper

We seem to be getting more and more entrenched in a digital world and I love it, but how many gadgets can one have? From PC's to Laptops to PDA's to Cell phones to whatever the latest technological craze might be, and all of them ringing and alarming at the same time! Certainly some may argue that all you… Continue

Do you want a safe secure global investment that is better than investing in local property?

If you have funds to invest – go global!!
Why global investments?
1) They spread your investment risk around the world and are not dependent on the local economy.

2) They are very liquid and can be converted into cash in 3 days at low cost.

3) Once the investment has been set up you can expect cash returns with capital growth and no
management stress.

4) If you are set on property as an investment buy international commercial real estate shares with hard currency “rents” and capital appreciat… Continue

A good laugh for the day

Yesterday, I was at my local Wal-Mart buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit the Wonder Dog, and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So, since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an i… Continue
